JAMB: Muslim Candidates May Wear Hijabs for Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified that Muslim female candidates are permitted to keep their hijabs on during the 2026 UTME registration process, following reports of confusion at a centre in Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti.In an official statement on X, JAMB stressed that no directive has ever banned hijabs.
