A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said he rejected the offer by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, to be his spokesperson. Omokri said he told Atiku that he would rather be a spokesperson to a president than a presidential candidate. In an interview shared on X, Omokri said that he was the one that hired the likes of Segun Showunmi for Atiku. Omokri, a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, now appears to be in the camp of the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
