SunTrust Bank denies detention of executives, says bail conditions were met

SunTrust Bank Nigeria Limited has denied online reports claiming that its managing director and executive director have been remanded in custody. On Friday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Halima Buba, the managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of SunTrust Bank Ltd, over money laundering allegations. Buba was arraigned before Emeka Nwite, a judge of a federal high court in Abuja, alongside Innocent Mbagwu, the bank’s executive director (ED) and chief compliance officer.
