Gunmen K!ll Two Police Inspectors in Enugu Ambush, Seize Rifles

Unknown gunmen suspected to be operatives of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN), ambushed a police patrol team in Enugu on December 27, 2025, killing two inspectors and carting away three AK-47 rifles.The attack occurred around 8:30 p.m. along Zik Avenue, near Good Shepherd Specialist Hospital, when six armed assailants in an ash-coloured Lexus RX 350 SUV opened fire on a Distress Response Squad (DRS) patrol Hilux vehicle before setting it ablaze.The deceased officers were identified as Inspectors Valentine Iheme and Ani Anayo, both (…)
