Leadership crisis: NLC backs Wellington as Labour Party leader in Rivers

The Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has formally declared its support for the Interim State Working Committee of the Labour Party in Rivers State, led by Gogo Wellington.The endorsement was given by the Rivers State Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Alex Agwanwor, during a courtesy visit by the Labour Party’s Interim Executives to the NLC Secretariat in Port Harcourt on Friday.Agwanwor stated unequivocally that the Interim State Working Committee led by Wellington is the only recognized leadership of the Labour Party in Rivers State, stressing that no other group can (…)
