Police present ₦33m to families of fallen officers in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has presented the Inspector-General of Police’s Group Life Insurance/Family Welfare Scheme cheques worth a total of ₦33.2 million to 54 families of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ikioye Orutugu, presented the cheques to the bereaved families during the command’s ‘Strategic officers’ lecture’ held at the Police Command Headquarters, Awka, on Friday.Orutugu said the gesture demonstrates the unwavering commitment of the police high command to the welfare of officers and the families of those (…)
