A Nigerian man, Ola Abimbola jailed for kidnapping has been on the run for nearly a month after absconding from an open prison in Sussex, UK.Abimbola, 36, who was sentenced to 21 years for conspiracy to kidnap, GBH, blackmail, and false imprisonment, was transferred early to Ford open prison in Arundel under new rules introduced by the Labour government to ease overcrowding in more secure facilities.Under the previous rules, Abimbola would not have been eligible to move to an open prison for another six years.
