Gunmen Reportedly Opened Fire on Herders K!lling 36 Cows in Plateau State

Unknown gunmen ambushed and k!lled a 13-year-old herder, Abubakar Wada, along with 36 of his cows in Plateau State, while 49 more cattle remain missing, in an incident that has intensified longstanding farmer-herder tensions in the region. The attack occurred on Tuesday evening around the Inzon community in Fan District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, where Wada and two other herders were grazing their animals. The assailants reportedly opened fire without provocation, killing the young herder and slaughtering the livestock, while the surviving herders escaped with gunshot injuries. (…)
