Senator faces Sharia Court hearing over N124.8m unpaid campaign payment

Senator Rufai Sani Hanga of Kano Central Senatorial District is facing a one-count charge at a Sharia Court over alleged unpaid campaign funds from 2023. The case, before a Shahuci Upper Sharia Court, commenced hearing of the suit filed against Senator Hanga over alleged unpaid campaign services amounting to N124,800,070. The case was instituted by Isa Ado Medoya and several others, who claim they executed agreed campaign assignments during the senator’s electioneering period but have yet to be paid.
