APC raises alarm over ‘Secessionist’ moves against Gov Mbah’s second term

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State has raised concerns over efforts by groups it described as “secessionists” to undermine Governor Peter Mbah’s bid for a second term in 2027.The party clarified that these groups are not advocating for the breakup of Nigeria but are pushing for the creation of a new state from Enugu, and some have allegedly sought to field alternative governorship candidates.Dr. Ben Nwoye, caretaker committee chairman of the APC in the state, made the revelation on Monday while receiving members of the Asiwaju Renewed Mandate South East (ARMSE), led by (…)
