NDPC to probe Temu over alleged data protection violations

Vincent Olatunji, national commissioner and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), has ordered an immediate investigation into the data processing activities of Temu. In a statement on Monday, Babatunde Bamigboye, head of legal, enforcement and regulations at NDPC, said the platform’s activities “may be in violation” of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDP Act), 2023.
