Court remands two over alleged assault on police officers in Ekiti

A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of two men, Awolusi Babatunde, 45, and Awolusi Oluwaseun, 23, at the Correctional Centre over their alleged involvement in an assault on police officers and two residents.The court, presided over by Mr Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail to the third defendant, Awolusi Mary, 42, in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.The case was adjourned till February 20, 2026, for further hearing.The prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants, who reside at Gloryland Avenue, Ajebamidele, Ado-Ekiti, (…)
