Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has stated that he is not contesting for president ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking in an interview on Arise TV on Friday, El-Rufai made it clear that he has not decided to run for the country’s top office. “I have said this over and over, I’m not a candidate for any office. I would have been in Egypt pursuing my PhD, but because I contributed to putting this government in place, I am still here to correct the decision,” he said.
