Kidnapped Edo School Children, Others Freed After N15m Ransom Payment

Four remaining victims from a family of nine abducted by gunmen in Edo State have regained their freedom following the payment of N15 million ransom.The victims, which included five school children, a nursing mother with her two-month-old baby, and others, were kidnapped on Monday, February 2, 2026, around 5pm while returning from school along the Eko-Abeku-Iyowa road in the Evboneka community, near the Benin-Akure expressway.
