Senate Rejects Mandatory Electronic Transmission of Election Results

The Nigerian Senate has voted against making electronic transmission of election results compulsory, choosing to maintain the existing provisions of the 2022 Electoral Act.During Wednesday’s plenary session, the upper chamber considered a bill seeking to repeal the Electoral Act No. 13, 2022, and enact a new Electoral Act, 2025.
