Abandoned newborn rescued in Anambra shop

A newborn baby has been found alive at a shop along Pope John Paul Seminary School Street, Umuodu Village, Okpuno, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.It was gathered that the baby was found alive in a bag at about 9 am Sunday by a nurse.The nurse, identified as Mercy Iloanya, said she went to her shop, which is close to the shop where the baby was dropped, when she noticed the baby crying from a bag.Iloanya said, “I immediately called the attention of a man I saw along the street, who confirmed that the baby was alive before we alerted the woman whose shop the baby was (…)
