Amotekun proposes rail line linking south-west to ‘enhance security, connectivity’

Afenifere, the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, has proposed a rail line connecting the capitals of south-west states as part of a broader strategy to enhance security and regional connectivity. The organisation also called on south-west governors to empower the regional security outfit, Amotekun, to curb the rising wave of insecurity in the region. The call came during Afenifere’s caucus and general meetings, held on Monday and Tuesday at the residence of Reuben Fasoranti, the group’s leader in Akure, Ondo state.
