The family of detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu has issued an urgent public warning, accusing Nigerian government agents of creating fake social media accounts to impersonate him.In a statement released on Thursday and signed by Prince Emmanuel Kanu on behalf of the Okwu-Kanu family, the relatives claimed that fraudulent profiles, primarily on Facebook and Instagram are being operated to spread disinformation, tarnish Kanu’s reputation and that of IPOB, target supporters for harassment or arrest, harvest personal data, and monitor public engagement.The family (…)
