The Indigenous People of Biafra has strongly condemned the heavy deployment of security operatives at the Onitsha Main Market, describing it as a “barbaric and unwarranted” action.In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the IPOB Spokesman, Emma Powerful, accused the state governor, Chukwuma Soludo, of unleashing the military and police formations on innocent traders and protesters in Onitsha, as if the state was in a war zone.Powerful said the development is a blatant violation of human rights and democratic principles, adding that the security forces opened live fire on peaceful (…)
