Gunmen attack Zamfara community, abduct ’25’ residents

Gunmen have reportedly abducted at least 25 persons during an attack on Turmuzawa village, an agrarian community in Bungudu LGA of Zamfara. According to a report by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, the armed men attacked the village on Wednesday night. Citing residents, Zagazola said the attackers arrived in large numbers at about 11:25 p.m. in the Kotorkoshi district of the village, firing sporadically before moving from house to house and forcing victims into the surrounding bush.
