Public affairs commentator, Mahdi Shehu, has accused Nigerian lawmakers of being too docile and fundamentally compromised following revelations that the gazetted version of the Tax Law 2025 was altered from what was passed by the National Assembly. Shehu made the allegation in a post on X on Friday while reacting to the interim report of an ad-hoc committee set up by the House of Representatives to investigate the controversy surrounding the law.
