Katsina tertiary education workers call of strike

The Joint Consultative Forum of tertiary educational institutions owned by the Katsina State Government has suspended its two-week warning strike.The Chairman of the forum, Dr. Muhammad Nasir-Gidado, announced this in a statement issued in Katsina on Saturday.The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the strike was declared by the forum on January 12, 2026, following what it described as the government’s refusal to address its demands.According to Nasir-Gidado, the demands include the non-approval and non-implementation of 35 per cent and 25 per cent salary increments for staff of the (…)
