HURIWA Urges Police to Arrest Abure Over LP Leadership Defiance

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to arrest and prosecute Julius Abure, former National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), for allegedly impersonating the party's leader and ignoring court rulings.In a statement signed Wednesday by National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, HURIWA cited recent judgments from the Federal High Court and Supreme Court that removed Abure's executive and affirmed Senator Nenadi Usman as head of the authentic caretaker committee.Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High (…)
