AFCON 2025: CAF sanctions Algeria after post-match incidents against Super Eagles

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has sanctioned Algeria following series of incidents that occurred after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final fixture against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. CAF’s disciplinary board imposed both sporting and financial penalties on the Algerian Football Federation (FAF). They cited misconduct by players, officials, and supporters during and after the match. Goalkeeper Luca Zidane has been suspended for two matches.
