Corruption thrives on society’s beliefs, not just weak laws, says Olukoyede

Ola Olukoyede, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), says corruption thrives in any society that glorifies shortcuts to wealth instead of the right values and beliefs. In a foreword to a new book, ‘Crime Is a Bad Market’, Olukoyede said the EFCC is working towards tackling the beliefs and attitudes that make crimes seem acceptable in the society. The book is authored by Tayo Folorunsho, a media entrepreneur and founder of Edutainment First International Ltd.
