AFCON: Osimhen, Lookman benched as Chukwueze starts for Nigeria in third-place clash against Egypt

Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will not be starting for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 third-place match against Egypt on Saturday. Alex Iwobi is also on the substitutes bench as Eric Chelle, Super Eagles head coach, makes five changes for Nigeria’s last AFCON match in Morocco. Paul Onuachu will spearhead the attack, with Moses Simon taking over the captain’s armband on the wing.
