Kemi Badenoch, leader of the UK Conservative Party, has appointed Nick Timothy as the new shadow justice secretary following the dismissal of Robert Jenrick over an alleged plot to defect from the party. Badenoch announced Timothy’s appointment on Thursday, hours after sacking Jenrick from the shadow cabinet, removing the party whip, and suspending his Conservative Party membership.
