Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have released a video demanding a staggering ₦423 million (approximately $300,000) ransom for the freedom of Hon. Hassan Biu Miringa, a former Vice-Chairman of Biu Local Government Area in Borno State, and another unnamed captive.The video, which surfaced earlier this week and was first reported by counter-insurgency outlet Zagazola Makama, shows the two men pleading for urgent intervention from government officials and community leaders to secure their release.
