Seun Kuti, a Grammy-nominated singer and son of the late Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has said it is an insult to refer to Afrobeats singer Wizkid as the modern day equivalent of his father.Kuti stated this while warning Wizkid fans, otherwise known as Wizkid FC, to stop comparing the Ojuelegba crooner with the late Afrobeat maestro during a recent Instagram livestream.He explained that comparing Wizkid or any new generational artist to Fela is an insult to the legacy of the Afrobeat pioneer.“Wizkid FC keep Fela’s name out of your mouths.
