The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has strongly rejected the ongoing impeachment proceedings initiated by the Rivers State House of Assembly against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu, describing the move as contrary to the wishes of the people of Rivers State.In a press briefing held in Port Harcourt on Thursday, shortly after the Assembly commenced the process, IYC President Alaye Theophilus condemned the impeachment attempt in its entirety.
