Malami Calls for Calm After Court Sets ₦1.5bn Bail for Him, Family

The immediate past Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has called for calm after the court slammed him and members of his family involved in alleged corruption a N1.5b bail condition. Recall that the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday granted bail totalling N1.5 billion to Malami, his son, Abdulaziz, and his wife, Hajia Bashir Asabe. In a ruling delivered on Wednesday, trial judge Justice Emeka Nwite approved bail in the sum of N1 billion for Malami and his son, while Malami’s wife, who is also a defendant in the matter, was granted bail of (…)
