LASTMA Sanctions 19 Officers for Misconduct in 2025

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has disciplined 19 officers for gross misconduct throughout 2025, following recommendations from the Lagos State Civil Service Commission (CSC).Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, disclosed that five officers were dismissed, nine were demoted in rank, and the remaining five received severe warning letters.Bakare-Oki emphasized the agency's robust internal mechanisms to curb excesses among field officers, highlighting an enhanced surveillance unit (…)
