Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, the Onitsha-based pastor better known as Odumeje, has declared 2026 a year of “kabush kabash”. Addressing his congregation during the crossover service at his church, the controversial cleric described the coming year as a period of spiritual warfare. “2026 is a year of kabush kabash,” Odumeje proclaimed. Kabush kabash is a slang or pidgin expression, most prominent by Odumeje, that doesn’t have a direct, single-word English translation.
