Tax law: Insisting on Jan 1 implementation insult to Nigerians, rule of law – Adeyanju to Tinubu

Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Thursday berated President Bola Tinubu for insisting on the January 1 commencement of the New tax law in Nigeria despite controversies. Adeyanju described the enforcement despite controversies of forgery and breach of the constitutional process as an insult to Nigeria and the rule of law. The Nigerian government has been accused of having a different Tax Reform Act. The one that was meant to be gazetted was said to be different from what Tinubu assented.
