Obaseki condemns attack on cousin Don Pedro, demands arrest of perpetuators

Former Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has condemned an attack on his cousin, Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki, by youths suspected to be thugs in Benin City.It is reported that Pedro was assaulted, stripped and allegedly taken to the palace of the Oba of Benin on Sunday while playing football at Uwa Primary School in Igbesamwan.The former governor, in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday, called on security agencies to immediately investigate the matter and arrest those behind the act.Obaseki described the incident as a grave violation of fundamental human rights and a reckless (…)
