Katsina kicks off census for Almajiri, Islamiyya schools

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, on Saturday flagged off the Almajiri and Islamiyya school census across the state, a programme aimed at providing accurate data on the education system and informing policy reforms.Represented by his Special Adviser on Quranic Education and Out-of-School Children, Tasiu Dandaguro, the governor also approved the training of enumerators from Almajiri and Islamiyya schools, equipping them with the necessary skills for a successful census exercise.The event was organised by the Katsina State Bureau of Statistics in collaboration with the United Nations (…)
