US strikes targeted ISIS, Lakurawa terrorists — Presidency

The Presidency has disclosed that the United States, US, airstrikes in Sokoto State targeted the ISIS and Lakurawa terrorist groups. One of President Bola Tinubu’s spokesmen, Daniel Bwala, said the Islamic State militants came from the Sahel to work with the Lakurawa group and bandit gangs. Speaking with AFP on Saturday, Bwala said: “ISIS found their way through the Sahel to go and assist the Lakurawa and the bandits with supplies and with training.
