Alleged defamation: Okpebholo demands N25bn, apology from Edo PDP chairman

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has demanded N25 billion damages from the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Anthony Aziegbemi, over alleged defamation of character and libel. Governor Okpebholo also demanded an apology from the PDP state chairman to be published in three national dailies. Okpebholo made the demands in a letter addressed to Aziegbemi, dated 22 December, 2025, and signed by his lawyer, R.I.D Okezie, Esq.
