Man arrested for ‘creating phishing links to hack Microsoft accounts’

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) says its officers have arrested Okitipi Samuel for allegedly creating phishing links in order to gain authorised access to Microsoft 365 accounts between January and September 2025. The suspect allegedly used a phishing toolkit known as “RaccoonO365” to “create fraudulent Microsoft login portals aimed at harvesting user credentials”. In a statement on Thursday, Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police spokesperson, said three suspects were arrested over the scheme following a report received from Microsoft Corporation, through the United States Federal Bureau of (…)
