NYSC extends service year of 16 corps members in Sokoto

No fewer than 16 members of the National Youth Service Corps in Sokoto State have had their service year extended over various acts of misconduct.The State Coordinator of the scheme, Alhaji Usman Yaro, disclosed this on Friday during the passing-out ceremony of the 2024 Batch C, Stream 2 corps members held in Sokoto.Yaro said the affected corps members were sanctioned for offences ranging from abscondment and chronic absenteeism to other violations of NYSC rules, stressing that the scheme operates a zero-tolerance policy for truancy and indiscipline.He said, “Discipline remains a core (…)
