Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP militants have kidnapped the recently elected Vice Chairman of Biu Local Government Area in Borno State, Alhaji Saidu, along with two councillors and multiple other travellers.The incident took place on Wednesday evening along the dangerous Kamuya village to Buni Yadi road, as the victims were en route to Maiduguri following local government elections held the previous Saturday.A source confirmed: Our newly elected Vice Chairman from Saturday's polls, Alhaji Saidu, and councillors for Zarawuyaku and Miringa wards in Biu LGA were seized by suspected ISWAP fighters (…)
