Gunmen ambush police patrol, ‘kill officer, two residents’ in Nasarawa

Gunmen have reportedly killed a police officer and two residents during an ambush on a patrol team in Doma LGA of Nasarawa state. Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, said the attack occurred at about 6:30 pm on Sunday along Ajimaka village road, onwards to Rukubi town. Makana said the team, attached to Operation Restore Peace and led by Jampi Mbursa, a police inspector, was ambushed while on routine rounds alongside local vigilante members.
