EFCC arraigns Peace Corps commandant, finance director over alleged misappropriation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Dickson Akon, the commandant of the Nigeria Peace Corps, and Omolala Aminat Ahmed, the organisation’s director of finance, before a high court in Abuja on charges of criminal conspiracy and misappropriation. The duo appeared before Justice H. B. Yusuf on Thursday, facing a two-count charge bordering on the alleged diversion of funds meant for a contract to supply badges to the paramilitary-style corps.
