No fewer than 17 returning Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were killed on Wednesday morning when armed men stormed Tse Ajogo village in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.Eyewitnesses told the Nigerian Tribune that eight other persons sustained gunshot injuries, several residents remain unaccounted for, and at least seven houses were set ablaze during the attack.The assault, which occurred around 6 a.m., is the second on returning Tiv IDPs in the same community in less than two months.Survivors Bernard Atom Atoo Tyokongu and Mwuese Gesa, who narrowly escaped the gunfire, said (…)
