Edo: Police restate ban on fireworks, warn parents, shop owners

The Edo State Police Command has warned parents, shop owners and citizens that the use of fireworks constitutes a nuisance and is prohibited under relevant laws.The Command also warned that anybody found selling, purchasing or using fireworks would be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Moses Yamu gave the warning in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday in Benin City.Yamu who said the Command has observed with concern the increasing use of fireworks in various parts of the state.The police spokesman noted that the loud (…)
