President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Aminu Yusuf as chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC). The brief ceremony, part of the first segment of the federal executive council (FEC) meeting, was witnessed by cabinet members on Wednesday. On October 21, the senate unanimously confirmed Yusuf from Niger state as the NPC chairman. After citations were read, the five permanent secretaries — Abdulkarim Ibrahim, John Ezeamama, Abdul-Sule Garba, Isiaku Mohammed and Ukaire Chigbowu — took their oaths of office at 1:42 pm and signed the register.
