Police Arrest Two for Alleged Possession of Fireworks, Explosives in Imo

Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested two men for allegedly possessing and distributing large quantities of prohibited fireworks and explosive devices, commonly known as “knockouts” and “bangers.”The suspects, identified as Opara Evans, 35, and Chinedum Stanley, 29, were apprehended during an intelligence-led operation around Alaba and Relief Markets in Owerri metropolis.Police spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued on Wednesday, saying substantial quantities of the banned items were recovered from the suspects.“The Imo State Police (…)
