NEC Approves N100bn for Total Overhaul of Police, Security Agencies’ Training Colleges

The National Economic Council (NEC) has endorsed the release of N100 billion for the comprehensive rehabilitation, reconstruction and upgrading of all training institutions belonging to the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies across the country.The decision, which now awaits final approval by President Bola Tinubu, was taken at the 154th virtual meeting of NEC on Wednesday.Council also approved N2.6 billion for consultancy services to drive the project.The funding approval followed the presentation of the report of an ad-hoc committee chaired by Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter (…)
