TCN Raises Nigeria’s Grid Capacity by Over 60% in 10 Years – Now Wheels 8,100MW

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a remarkable 62 per cent increase in the nation’s grid wheeling capacity over the past decade, rising from 5,000MW in 2015 to over 8,100MW as of today.The disclosure was made on Monday in Abuja by TCN’s General Manager, Transmission Service Provider, Oluwagbenga Ajiboye, during an interactive session with energy editors.“Our wheeling capacity has grown from 5,000MW in 2015 to over 8,100MW today, thanks to strategic investments and donor-supported projects like the World Bank-funded Nigeria Electricity Transmission Project (NETAP),” (…)
