Bandits Abduct Travellers on Kogi Highway, Army Rescues Five

Suspected bandits on Saturday mounted a roadblock along the Isanlu–Makutu–Idofin road in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, abducting an unspecified number of travellers in a daring daylight operation.Eyewitnesses said the gunmen held the highway under siege for several hours, intercepting vehicles and dragging occupants into the surrounding forest.“The exact number of those kidnapped is still unknown, but we heard about three vehicles ran into the ambush.
